A few more days until the homecoming
Unfortunately, David was not released from the
hospital today. He is still, "toxic" as the doctor
put it. He is now saying maybe Wednesday. David was
obviously disappointed but said, "hey, what's a few
days when you have the rest of your life." He is in
good spirits and his mind is working overtime on some
tremendous ideas. The meds he is on is making his
imagination soar, and we all know he already had a
soaring imagination.
He will be home soon and that is the most important
thing.
Love to all,
Nancy

HOME - "H armony O f M ind E verywhere."
"All things work together for them that love God."
"Oh then give thanks to God on high,
Who life to all is giving;
The hosts of death before Him fly,
In Him we all are living.
Then let us know no fear,
Our King is ever near;
Our stay and fortress strong,
Our strength, our hope, our song;
His kingdom is forever."
God bless the soul of the person who gave life, so that someone else could have life. May their family find solace and strength in this individual's unselfishness and may his or her light burn bright in their families' hearts and souls forever - while it lives tangibly here on earth with David as well.
Home soon he will be. Thank you Father! ACL
You both have now progressed to a transitional phase, which will be a time of physical and emotional ups and downs. You scaled the mountain but the road ahead will have some very bumpy spots for the near future as you adjust to this tremendous event. The good news is that you're both up to the challenge. We think of you everyday and will check back here frequently to get our daily progress report.

It's a New Year's party with Dave
With tequila and whiskey, we'll rave,
'Bout Fuzzy B,
And the liver! We'll see
Bird's thigh in white nylon, our fav!
I'm glad I didn't hire the naked "Welcome Home" singing telegram!
Ok, a coupla more days. It's too cold to be out anyway. We're going to raise a glass to all of you Friday night for bringing inspiration to us at the beginning of the new year.

Hi David & Nancy,
We've been following the posts about your journey and are so happy to hear that David is doing so well post-transplant. I was especially cheered to hear about your good bile flow....we love good bile flow at our house. I bet that bilirubin has come tumbling down, too.
David, I am thrilled to hear about your plans to help boost the cause of organ donor awareness. I have that bumper sticker on my car and if I have an extra, it will be in your mailbox by New Year's, also, if I have any extra green-ribbon pins on hand, I'll leave those as well. The ALF created them a number of years ago to help with donor awareness and I have been wearing them on my jacket lapel for a long time.
Have a wonderful New Year, wherever it takes place.
